Known for their strength and endurance, Alaskan Malamutes are powerful working dogs originally bred for hauling heavy freight in harsh Arctic conditions.
While they are generally affectionate and loyal to their families, their large size and strong prey drive can pose a danger if not properly trained and socialized.
Without adequate exercise and mental stimulation, they may exhibit destructive behavior.
